Yeah. I especially liked the effort he put into giving up for most of the match when it was clear it was over.

Or the effort he put into using the same shots for the entire game, instead of trying something different to actually try and win.

So glad Nadal's gone. His last 8 months or so has proven my belief that the moment his body has started to show wear and tear his style of play isn't up to scratch. He's going to have to prove how good a player he is by evolving his style.

Much like Hewitt, who was successful when young, energetic and enthusiastic, able to overcome his lack of skill to grind out matches. Now he just doesn't have that edge and will never get it.

Nadal at least is capable of evolving into a player who can compete with the likes of Federer (who is starting his decline), Murray, Djokovic (who needs a can of HTFU) etc.
