All the fluffheads will get picked for Australia anyway.

Guys like Hayne, Cross, Gallen and Fitzy will all make it because Stuart is in love with them all. I wouldnt be surprised either if Covell is in the selectors minds for the wing spot. He has been ridiculously good of late.

Covell is a kiwi

I know he has been spoken about as a kiwi but has he actually been selected in their squad or given his alliegences to them? I wouldnt be surprised in the slightest if he has had a tap on the shoulder from Stuart telling him he is in the running for a wing spot for Australia.

If Jarrod Hayne makes the team ahead of Boyd/Kemp/Hunt/Slater (if Hunt is fullback and vice-versa) then the selectors have massive problems.

theres a reason slater went within a few points of getting player of the year.

If you are using that as a basis of selecting your team, why didn't Orford get a run in your team?? eusa_think

I change to my team:

Laffrapi out, Myles in.

He can cover prop and 2nd row better.

Because i have no doubt if thurston wasnt injured during the season he wouldve been up there too.

Regardless, if someone cant see that slater is in better form than hunt at the moment, then i couldnt be bothered trying to point out why, coz its obvious they are either biased, or retarded.

Actually he has already played for the Kiwis in October last year.

I like that team.

Quality all over the park.

1. Slater
2. Folau
3. Inglis
4. Tate
5. Monaghan*
6. Lockyer
7. Thurston
8. Price
9. Smith
10. Civoniceva
11. Myles
12. Laffranchi
13. Johnson

14. Kite**
15. Thaiday/Creagh/Gallen***
16. Tupou
17. K. Gidley

* I know no matter what, they will pick a NSW in the backline, so that being the case insert Monaghan....unfortunatly it will be Hayne. I don't know why (same, same Origin), we can't put Slater on wing and play Hunt at Fullback eusa_think

** I picked Kite, however, Australia is actually quite thin on in-form props. I won't be surprised if a bolter makes the bench prop. That said, I also wouldn't be surprised if White is selected  (although in fairness, White is only as level softness as Kite....Lima is going to have a field day, when the two gods come off)

*** Creagh should walk into this spot on form, however Stuart will ensure Gallen secures it...maybe Thaiday.

P.S. Slater has hands down, beaten Hunt for form; in every conceivable way all season. Unfortunatly, this leaves no room for Hunt, as Gidley is a far more superior utility. In fact Gidley is the best utility in the game, he is selected at #17 first, before you even select the starting line up! I still don't get why Australia (& QLD) can't play one on the wing.

I have also said for awhile now; Hodges is a myth in 2008. Tate coming in centre for Origin helped our backs get more ball. Hodges is nothing.

I don't think Tate is good enough for the test team anymore.

He played well in the third game of origin, but he's too one dimensional for my liking.

I'd go with Hodges in the centres. It's true that he's been getting worse and worse, and he absolutely can't handle big games, but it's not like the WC games will be "big games" anyway, and against poor opposition there are few who are better than him. :D

Yeah but Tate actually uses his shoulders when he tackles instead of going for jersey grabs. He will also try to turn and help his winger unlike Hodgo who just jogs back hoping someonelse will clean up.

He also gives 100%, doesn't mouth off, doesn't give away silly penalties.

Tate should be ahead of hodges.

Hodges isnt worthy to cut the oranges at halftime with his half arsed playing and Im gods gift to footy attitude
