Barba try against Plodkins

He's going to have a huge game against the Sharks.

Hope so, looks like he is starting to hit some good form.

Just take a second to imagine a inform Barba, Hunt, Milford, Gillett, Hodges and Copely in the same team, we could be unstoppable next year!

“Before he would have beaten Sam on the outside with speed but now he’s not that fast,” Ken said.

“I think maybe he’s too heavy now. He used to be a lot faster.

“The Broncos have put a lot of size on him. He’s starting to know how to use it now I guess.

Looks like his old man is echoing exactly what we've been saying, I think I'd prefer him faster than bulkier, I can understand how it would help him defensively, but he just looked so much more natural and free flowing when he was lighter.

it also depends where we wanna play him next year, if he is to move into five eighth then he probably should stay a bit heavier for frontline defence. also by then he will know how to use the extra weight better, and since he is playing half the five eigths role anyway it would be a more seemless transition for milford to slot staight in at fullback where he is comfortable with barba doing pretty much the same as this year minus kick returns.

Never agreed with them putting the extra weight on him, but if it is because they plan to play him at 5/8 next year i can understand. If however hook (if he's still here :witchhunt:) continues to play him at fullback next year i will be bitterly disappointed.

I think Barba is kinda playing a semi Five-Eighth role in attack, whilst still playing Fullback in defense and on kick returns, which might be by design.

It will all make sense if Barba goes to Five-Eighth next year with Milford at fullback, I kinda just wish Griffin would move Barba to the 6 jersey now though, if that's the case, he'll really need to work on his kicking and passing game in the off-season.

i would hope there is some sort of method behind it but yes if he doesnt move to the halves next year then it is just pure stupidity on griffins part for this season, i think moving milford to the halves would just be a waste of his running game.
