One of my biggest bug bears with the media narrative vs Madge is the “but Payne wants to leave therefore Madge is worse than Kev”. Now forgive my dementia rattled brain, but didnt Payne request an immediate release when Kevin Walter’s was the coach and we were flying high?????

...and didn't Payne come back from winning Origin under Madge and said "..some things need to change around here..."? Or something like that.

I think the Payne v Madge narrative has been the one that pisses me off the most.

Madge is too full on.
He would prefer to be coached by Bennet.

His reasons made perfect sense to me but It doesn't matter what he says, the media will not believe it. Absolute flogs.

"Players make a statement in spite of Madge"
"Haas was fit and chose not to play"
"Broncos flatter to deceive, scramble defense won't cut it against the good teams"
"Bronco's bench woes, 2 weeks in a row Madge didn't trust his bench"

I’ve got to say, I think it’s pretty poor form from Teo just to pull the plug and leave Madge and the club to deal with all this media bullshit while he just maintains radio silence.
He could just come out and put it all to bed if he wanted or, if there’s an issue, tell us what it is.

How do you think he is going to get another assistant job saying that McGuire is a control freak. That would go down well.

Staying silent is his best option. If he says anything it should be the generic "just needed another challenge and I loved my time in Brisbane and have alot of respect for Madge".

You can never tell the truth or "his truth" in these situations at this point in his coaching career. He doesnt have enough runs of the board to say whatever he wants and still get gigs.

Yep, its nonsense. He's always looked to explore every option to get more money ever since he has been here ( which i dont have an issue with, they should all get the best deal financially they can ). Its nothing new with him.

Yeah I really got the impression that Haas was influential in getting Madge in to replace Kev.

If so, what a selfless gift to leave us with. Deserves broncos player of the year in 2027 too for that alone
