BHQ Picks the Broncos team: HOOKER

Well the pigs have been named and Ben Hannant and Shane Tronc will form our muscle up front, according to BHQ, in the most interesting poll of the concept so far. Some good support for Scott Anderson in there but ultimately Tronc and Hannant got the approval.

How we come to the bloke who stands between the two big men in the scrum, the hooker. This one is not expected to be a very tight contest given the good form of Andrew McCullough at the back end of last season, but the mid-season form of Ben Hunt and hooker might see a few good replies in the thread.

McCullough, but I think he has to develop a kicking game.

He also needs to learn to pass at the line more - he knowns when to use that dummy, but if he could take the ball to the line more often, his dummy would work more often

I don't think develop is the right word, he has a kicking game, he's shown that since that game against Melbourne (by that game I mean Round 2 2009). However he does need to use it more.

Honestly, I hope Henjak hasn't forgotten Baptiste and he doesn't hand the hooking role to McCullough under the illusion that he's unopposed. Baptiste has been for mine our best player in the Toyota Cup and is possibly sharper than Macca, I hope he's really putting the pressure on Andrew and making sure that the Broncos have the best hooking option possible.
