Oates
TMM
Cobbo

Voted for Haas instead of TMM, dunno how I managed that, but Haas would be my 4th choice.

TMM
Reynolds
Cant go Cobbo, way too many errors so I gave the third vote to Haas

Haas
184m (more than the other 2 starting middles combined)
Topped the tackle count with 43 and didn’t have a single miss
I almost went Haas over Cobbo because of the amount of errors and poor choices from Cobbo, but with the triple and his good efforts I went with him. Haas was awesome, again.

Most of the season, Paix has been taking us to another level when Billy goes off ......
I keep seeing this written....but don't ever recall it actually happening. If it keeps getting written....will it then become the truth?

People have short memories. He’s been poor recently but earlier in the year our forwards would get a role on when Paix took the field. As I just said in another thread, the gap between Paix and Billy is closing as Billy improves and Paix goes backwards.

Too many wet ball handling errors in general. It's become a troubling pattern, especially Cobbo and Riki. We would have chalked up a cricket score had we been able to hang onto the ball. Riki's copping the most shit today for it, deservedly, but like Cobbo's tries, Jordan's defence was pretty good.

I didn't notice Billy Walters doing anything special but we went to shit when he went off and perked right up when he came back. He must be doing something right.
We scored 2 tries as soon as Walters went off.

Shit, you're right. I misread that. Pretty much literally right after he went off. Well that ***** my main argument for dropping Turpin.

Need to check my arse and elbow right now. I think I might have them confused.

I don't think Turpin was particularly good, it was just the way it panned out. I actually thought that his service was bog average.
On another note the referee really cruelled us last night with 6 penalties and 5 six agains against us compared to knights 4 penalties against and 0 six agains. Surely we weren't that ill disciplined. Hope those stats are correct, coming from nrl.com.

Yes, we got pinged a lot. We were sloppy despite looking the better team. Penalties, badly weighted kicks and dropped balls. We need to lift our game massively next week.

But did we look sloppy though? The times we were pinged it looked like we had them well covered and were dominating the rucks. Conversely, despite us winning by 18 points, the numbers would suggest that the Knights weren't sloppy even once in their defence, at least when we were out of our own 40 metre area. It would be something of a miracle that a team so clinical and disciplined conceded 28 points, but what would I know?

Oates, TMM, Mam.

Thought Cobbo had a mixed bag, 3 tries sure, but made a few errors. Needs to learn he can't beat everyone on the outside, especially in the wet.

Yes. I'm not buying into any conspiracy theory the refs favoured the Knights because some gambling cartel paid them to rig the game or whatever.

I can’t wipe the smile off my face for Oatesy. He is truly a champion for our club and it’s so good to see him doing well again. It would have been so sad to see him get cut from the team after years of excellent service because of falling away at the end but he has turned it around and deserves to retire a Bronco for life.

Just because a ref has a shocker- why does it have to be some big conspiracy theory?

Neither is anyone here, not that I can see. Sure looks to me like the old "the team that is way behind needs a leg-up, let's find any excuse to blow a 6-again to give them some field position and opportunities". Hardly a conspiracy.

You are accusing the referee of committing a crime. Call the police with your evidence.

You're not though. You're not accusing the referee of making human errors, of course they do: you're accusing them of rigging the game to favour one team. That is a criminal conspiracy, especially if you finger more than one official as being on board with it.
