Well you don't lose points for bad performances in the voting so that massively helps.
You also don't get that many points if your best games are when other players play good as well.

Capes receives very few votes. He had a couple of games where he scored quite a few, but for the most part he's in the background and doesn't really stand out.
One of those players that isn't flashy and does their job quietly so he doesn't get as noticed as the others.
