Your argument is flawed though, because Parker was BHQ's Player of the Season last year, and finished third in 2010. :wink:

Yeah, except let's examine the winners of BHQ's POTS since it started:

2009 - Darren Lockyer/Sam Thaiday
2010 - Sam Thaiday
2011 - Corey Parker

A forward winner every year (joint with a back in 2009). :wink:

Very common in these types of awards. Almost always 2 of the 3 people vote for are backs.

Most forwards are represented though, which means they share the spoils over the season.

It's a bit like the Dally M. Generally, the good players in a crappy team will stand out and get the majority of points, while someone like Lockyer had to compete with a host of great players in the same team for the Dally M points.
