I think you misunderstood. It sounded like a complement to me. Choosing moments better in itself could mean stuffing around and doing not much until an opportunity appears. I think he was saying that he should keep these opportunities in mind but continue the hard work until those opportunities come about. As he did in the Cowboys game.

It was certainly a compliment, I'm a big fan of Gillett. That's exactly what I meant, he's a lethal player and if he chooses better moments to inject himself he can take his game to the next level.

I agree with you, and at the same time, I also believe "The Griffindor Game Plan" makes it a bit hard for anyone to inject themselves anywhere. Seems to be a distinct lack of ball out there, let alone someone with it and prepared to pass it (which Gillett does).

A good coach plays to his strengths, not an outdated strategy, although there has been hints of change so, fingers crossed
