Brisbane Broncos Preseason 2010/11

Gillett has major positioning and defensive issues at centre.

Copley is a good prospect and from all reports Beale is in the best shape of his career. I'd give them a chance to shine before moving the likes of Gillett, Te'o and heaven forbid, Carlaw out there.

I would shift Yow Yeh to the centres.
Centre is probably one of the hardest position to defend in.
I wouldn't chuck a rookie there.
Yow Yeh has played 2 seasons in first grade.
His form has been up and down like a girl on pornhub.com but I still rate him as one of the better defensive backs at the club.

So for me:

1. Hoffman
2. Kemp
3. Yow Yeh
4. Hodges
5. Gagai

I know I'm always harsh on Beale, but its only on his defense. Hes young and has a spark in his game, the same way Darius did. If Beale can work his ass off in the off season and the next couple of years on defense, then he will be some player.

Darius never had spark while he was at the Broncos.
His attacking game started to mature at the Dragons playing fullback where has more space/freedom.
Darius best attribute in his Broncos days was his defense.
He was Mr Reliable, read the plays well.

Got to say Big Dave your suggestion for Yow Yeh to play centres has received some backing.

From the one and only Darren Lockyer.

You will never see Yow Yeh in the centres...

We can only hope, he struggles to be consistent on the wing FFS. Sounds like Alex Glenn is the hot tip for a centre spot.

Poor Bucking Beads, even the great man Lockyer thinks Yow Yeh is worth a shot in the centres.
Does it hurt? [icon_lol1.
Yow Yeh is going to have a big year, everyone knows it at Red Hill.
The coaching staff may not start Yow Yeh in the centres for the first few rounds but that is to slowly ease Gagai into first grade.

Before I read the article the other night I got to say I was about to say I wouldn't be THAT surprise. Even in his debut game, Yow Yeh played a bit of centre so Folau could isolate himself on the wing.

``We have some good outside backs,'' Lockyer said. ``Denan (Kemp) looks to be in good shape. He can play wing and . . . Jharal in the centres.''

I always get skeptical when there is a ... inserted in quotes. For all we know the ...'s could be "but if injury strikes at least we've got the option to" put Jharal in the centres.

If you talk to the players, they all think Yow Yeh is ready to make the switch to the centres
