I get it, It would be super hard for Kev but surely deep down he wants us to get up.
Dobbo praised Kev saying he basically all but got them there.

I don't think sour, conflicting feelings I think for Kev. He would always have backed himself to do the same as madge with his roster and assistants this year. He had excuses - Injury ravaged season in 2024 ect. but probably forgets (as I did in my dummy spits last year) there are no excuses when you are the coach. The buck stops with you.
Whether it was possible or not that he could have done what Madge did this year is irrelevant. The club is justified in its position and Madge has done an outstanding job.
Kev would be happy for the team he loves, the players and assistants he recruited but conflicted with regret knowing what possibly could have been.
Love ya Kev! Can take alot of credit for getting the boys to the grand final we had to lose to win this one!

I think what Madge has done that Kevvie failed to do is foster competition for spots, Kevvie didn't give the guys out of the top 17 the feeling that if they worked hard they had a way into the team.
The competition has improved the hunger and effort across the squad, it's driven every player to work harder and performance has lifted.
