The Qld use of Bhunt used to be start for 30 and then Harry plays out the game, but in the last 15-20 Bhunt would come back on at lock.
I think Madge is probably playing tricks by naming Ezra on the bench, because I can see a late switch to him starting, but it at least puts thoughts into the mind of storm and can get them wasting time on it.
If Bhunt starts at 9 then he plays near 50mins, but they won't want to finish the game with Paix... could be a late move to drop Paix... or Bhunt from the bench and he comes on at 30mins to close out the game.
I daresay Smoothy plays the minutes when Patty is off, so only 10-15mins, but they could also shift him into 9 and Bhunt to lock to close out the game... and he's contingency for Patty, because no one else can really do that role for a large portion of the game.
Smoothy probably has the best pass across our hookers, so he will give them nice clean ball if they want that to close out the game.
Also allows Madge to go balls to the wall if he wants to go all out attack.

That's a lot of weapons across the field... it's unfortunate that we haven't had a lot of games with Walsh, Ezra, Bhunt and Reynolds to really smooth out how that can work on the field... but it can be a break glass in case of emergency.

Yeah 11mins isn't great, but he came halfway through the year so he hasn't had to go through the full preseason. I expect him to have a far bigger role next year given they just gave him a 2yr deal.
I'd probably drop Paix... Smoothy to start at 9, Bhunt onto the field at 30mins and play out the game... Smoothy back on when Patty goes off.
I'd then bring in Jhunt or Gos as backrow cover, because I'd prefer Willison spend his time in middle rather than shifting to the edge when Piaks gets a break.

Talty played 11 minutes and did SFA last week .
Smoothy tackled like Macca and acted as a link man . Can play hooker or lock effectively . Has been to a GF before .

I think Talty has hit the wall a little bit; his minutes are coming down, and he just looks like the guy that's waited 26 years for his debut and slowly he's come down from that and is now done for 2025.

Madge is gonna execute the origin order 66 to kill their play makers. Our opening defensive hits have been aggressive and this one will be next level.

I think part of it was he was furious he was being shown he was wrong - 1st on the Cleary tackle, then the spew buckets .
But then he pulled the crisis manager ace out of his arse .To try to fight back against the bullies . LOL .

I would be concerned if I were BTK. Between how fast the game has become and the spotlight on head highs, even if it's an accident, the era of the giant forward may end with NAS.

I just hope Talty has the ability to play some edge... he runs a great line and looks to have nice footwork through the middle, so hopefully it's something he can pick up.
If he can pick that up over the off season then he's my 17 jersey every week that he's fit.

Kobe has the footwork to disrupt a defence line and his attack behind the ruck is unique in the squad . He is also a tough defender .
