Oh well, here goes.
I reckon it's fair to say the Bronx have exceeded expectations this year (eventually, that is), with an energetic defence and committed compete-to-the-end mindset that have been conspicuously absent from all too many of their games these last several years.
Still have this nagging suspicion - like a pesky mosquito in the room - of there still being some "sand" in the gearbox, especially the attack: e.g. the less than crisp, decisive service from dummy-half, the ineffectual one-out runs with no support in sight.
It's now a matter of record how Brisbane were able to scrap last-minute wins against favored opposition in their two finals games by dint of committed defence and determination to stay in the contest, but in the same way that perhaps Penrith in the end found themselves climbing that one hill too many, so too the Bronx surely won't want to have to go to the comeback well that one occasion too many either.
As I thought prior to the Penrith match, they'll have to be truly on from the opening whistle, but no silly errors and better still, getting an early opening score.
