That was the year when media were going on about Reece with his sunnies and then when he reacted to penrith fans, etc.

In Kevvie's podcast he talks about how there were mistakes in 2023 and they will have fixed them up this time around.

Basically the stuff that 1910 has talked about... tickets, hotel being too close to the stadium and there being festivals and shit all happening in town right around their hotel so they were getting swamped.

Also talked about the security side of it and the bus being too far from the stage so they had to walk through the crowd to get to the stage.

I'd say 2023 they were a bit too much about the week and being there, and not really thinking enough about the game.

They seem more focussed on the game this time around.
 
I imagine harry grant being a nightmare for this game. He has a knack for exploiting the ruck in a way we don't. Not sure how we shut him down for 80 minutes.

Games ebb and flow in dominance. Time in the opposition Territory and momentum earn points. Riki is going to be super important in kick chase. I'd like to see 23 Riki. Wish we had Billy for this game. Reece may need to find his own way into this. I believe short balls around the ruck, late in the halves could reward. Reece following Payne, and Payne following Reece. Melbourne will be focused on shutting down our sweep.

Penrith showed us how to deal with Grant. Run at him all night. Let him make 60 tackles. Make sure our markers are on point.

The Gordie situation is such a weird phenomenon. I think it's obvious he loves the Broncos but he can't let his personal agendas go. It's sad tbh.

I think Cozza get a pretty bad rap too. He genuinely loves the joint but is a guy that sometimes is too harsh on us to look professional in the media.

Yeah they look very relaxed and enjoying the week. Even Riki came out and said the last GF they were just so overwhelmed during the whole week like deers in the headlights and we could tell from the way they played. Even Reynolds was nervous that last time. I remember seeing him look so nervous before the game and I was like “we’re f**ked” LOL!!

You can see how much difference it is now, it’s like the weight has been lifted off their shoulders. They exude so much confidence and hope it comes out on Sunday and they rip into it!!

Since he's been on SEN in the mornings, I've definitely softened on Parker. He's still an abrasive character but I think when he was writing articles or having a 15min spot on 360, he struggled to explain his opinion without coming across as a bitter knob in that timeframe. If that makes sense?

Let's face it as well, when he was taking shots at the club the place was in a bad way and while everyone could see that, with his contacts in the club he likely knew the reasons.
 
I don't buy it, we just choked tbh. Leading by that amount with 20 to go and we lose I don't think you blame it on going to too many grand final functions during the week. If we lost by 40-0 then yeah sure it would have some merit.

They started with a completion rate of about 65% that led to fatigue and put no pressure on panthers... I'd say that can happen from being overawed by the game.

Broncos were basically on top for about 15mins when Ezra scored his 3 tries, but for the rest of it penrith were on top... then Luai went off and Cleary played 6 & 7

100%. But there are reasons behind why a team chokes. Reece being treated like a rockstar before winning anything didn't help, for example.
 
Fox League today was criticising how the boys were celebrating too much after the panthers game and how the storm were all calm after the sharks game. And.... Gordie actually defended us celebrating lol the stars are all aligning!!

This reminds me of the Broncos of old. Confident, relaxed and enjoying themselves. No need to play the game in your mind before Sunday. We've done the hard work, just relax and enjoy. We'll be ready Sunday.
