AFL Brisbane Lions - 2025 AND 2024 Premiers

Man I'm buzzing, that was simply emphatic against the so called comp favourites. We just played at a level no one else is capable of. So happy to see them wake up so well.

Every other team in the comp will not sleep tonight after seeing what we just did.

Absolutely what we've been waiting for. This team knows what they need to do and tonight was absolutely them going yep, time to hit the go button.
 
I’ve been off the grid over the weekend and am absolutely blown away by the news the lions beat Collingwood at the G. What happened to Lester? Seems like Harris Andrews is the last man standing.

Yep Lester got concussed and is out this week. We might finally see Doedee.

But man watch the replay. The Lions were so good I don't think it matters, we suddenly look very, very likely to go back to back. The level we went to in the second half, if we produce that in finals, no one is matching us. Our sustained pressure rating hit 258! No one else can even come close.

Can’t wait to see the replay. I don’t think we’ve lost a game at the MCG this year. It used to be our graveyard, now we thrive there.

We've broken every single long standing place and team we've lost at this season. We've been in second gear. Last week, we took the handbrake off and every other side would have wet themselves. No one else can go to that level and we look like we're hitting September having held a LOT back. It was very finals 2024 like and even then...we STILL weren't perfect.

We gave little brother on the Gold Coast a chance at finals football. Now there’s no more being nice.
 
Half our backline injured, our best mid and two of our best small forwards. Oh and our ruckman and half our back ups too. If we get up here, this will be impressive and we really cannot afford to drop this game and you just know Sydney will want revenge.
 
Swans playing out of their skins and pulling off some big plays. We look flat after a big win at the mcg.
 
These are the type of games the lions tend to get blown out like the suns game.
