Bronco Fans - Show You Want Sundays

When Paul White says we are never ever going to be seen as a team that plays consistently on a Sunday what he is trying to say is we are never going to be seen as a team that plays consistently on a Friday as well.
He is just stating the bleeding obvious and should do something about it.

I think you missed the meaning - he was saying, we're the NRL and Channel 9's bitch and we'll be working dat ass for them on Fridays at Suncorp until the $billions dry up or another franchise comes in and cannibalises the market.

Didnt miss the meaning i added my own too it:loool:

The way we are playing then this time next year 9 will be begging the NRL to not have to show us on a Friday Night.

I love going to Friday night games, the crowd is always quieter than a shopping centre on a slow day.

Makes for good light reading.

Most games I've gone to bar the 'Locky Farewell Tour' games are like that. Why do you think that is? I reckon it's due to there not being A LOT of passionate (read: loud) fans everywhere, only little groups here and there and the rest are just casual spectators and many away fans that don't sit in the AS bay coz they sit with Bronco mates. I think they need to re-jig the seating arrangements.

I honestly don't think Rugby League is a particularly great sport to watch at the ground. I mean you can soak up the atmosphere, and then try to watch all the action all the way across the field from you. I love the sport, but I think it's tailor made for TV, unlike sports where players are spread across the whole field.

I used to love the ABC Saturday afternoon broadcast as a kid. Warren Boland commentary, kick in the park at half time. The memories.
Me too. For a while there it was the only live game each week. How times have changed.

The way we play is not conducive to being excited.

haha true. there's always those periods in every game where the crowd don't get too interested but I suppose it can be brought back to the original point of Subsligh: we'd play a better brand of footy in the dry. I mean we train in the day, so you'd think that playing in the day would suit us (and every team I suppose) better. And I'd prefer kids over drunks/empty seats. It'll also make it easier for out-of-towners to get in to the City for games too, potentially adding A4some members.
