Random predictions you can use to flame me with in October:
++ Josh Hoffman will return somewhat close to his 2011 form, resulting in people like m1c jizzing over how "great" a player he is, even though his strengths will continue to be hard running off kick returns and he will continue to be a non-factor in red zone attack. If a key half gets injured this problem will be highlighted come late in the season. He'll basically have a year of a great traditional fullback but offer none of the special things Slater or Barba offer in attack.
++ Jharal Yow Yeh will struggle to return to his best, making people question his spot in the team. He'll regain confidence late though and show promising signs for a big 2014.
++ People will complain about our general kicking game because Scott Prince and Peter Wallace are the two slowest kickers in the competition and neither are particularly good at kicking from the line.
++ Matt Gillett will leave, potentially to the Bellamy led Dragons.

Sadly though he wasn't used right for most of 2012, and he's a Dragons fan. Definitely DON'T WANT IT TO HAPPEN, but have an ugly feeling it might.

As someone who did more than his fair share of Copley bashing last year, I feel it's only right to say that I agree with you. His final 4 weeks were very promising and if he can just stop being so darn clumsy I think he's going to be a good'un.

He is a big boy now as well. Looks like he has bulked up. With his step close to the line I can see him busting through the line a fair bit. Would love to get him in the centres sooner rather than later.

Totally agree. Centre is by far his best position and he is pretty wasted on the wing IMO

This is the first season ever where I'm totally pessimistic. In 2007, when Lockyer went down injured and I started the "I believe" movement on the board, I 100% believed we could win the premiership. In 2013, not a chance, the year is a write off in my eyes. What I'm hoping for:

*Attitude- The boys go out there and make 2012 a distant memory and play for their coach and each other and never let each other or themselves down.
*Yow Yeh- would love for him to come back and be solid again, would be incredible if he played rep footy, I'm really cheering him on.
*Ben Hunt- Or another half plays out of their skin and solves our halves problems.

In 2013, not a chance, the year is a write off in my eyes. What I'm hoping for:

Other than Melbourne or Manly, there isn't a team in the competition I'll be thinking "we're unlikey to win here" when playing them. There isn't a club otuside of the Storm that really has our number consistently over the past 2 or 3 seasons.

The Broncos are a top 4 side. We should have finished much better than we did in 2012 except for a inexplicable fade out most probably due to a rookie halves combination that we've remedied by buying the second in line to the Qld Origin and probably Australian number 7 jersey.

The Broncos club don't prepare in the off season to come second. This aint the Sharks forum. We're in it to win.

Scott Prince. Never underestimate a purebred with a chip on his shoulder.

i agree copley might be a bolter for origin if things go his way.

another thing you'd never expect to hear but i reckon scott prince might end up in the mix for origin if JT decides to miss origin 1 and manly have a slow start to the year (ie poor form from DCE) and the broncos start well.
