It's the Broncos Kiwi bromance that first formed in 2008 and now Brisbane officials are hoping it will convince both Jordan Kahu and Alex Glenn to re-sign with the club.
Kahu and Glenn first met in 2008 when Glenn played with Kahu's brother Jared in the Broncos' under-20s side that was defeated in the grand final that same year.
From there a friendship blossomed, with Kahu soon joining Glenn at Brisbane in 2010 before making his NRL debut in 2013.
It was the years between 2010 and 2013 that this 'brotherhood' really formed, with Glenn supporting Kahu through two career-threatening knee reconstructions.
The two have since represented New Zealand together and are inseparable, with Kahu even sporting an 'Alex Glenn 200th' t-shirt after the Broncos' 32-18 win over the Penrith Panthers in Round 9.
That milestone is one of many Glenn said he wants to share with Kahu in the future, but with both players off-contract at the end of the year that wish is in jeopardy.
Yet Glenn still seemed confident of continuing his partnership with Kahu at Brisbane when speaking to NRL.com.
"We're very close. I played under-20s with his older brother so that's how we first met and started to build this friendship that we have," Glenn said.
"He's a New Zealand boy like myself and I see a lot of myself in him. We have the same values and family is very big for both of us.
"He's like family to me. We may not be related by blood but I treat him as a brother.
"I'm just grateful that I have someone like him at this club and I got to play my 200th game with him in the side.
"I'm definitely hopeful that we both stay at this club so we can share some more memories like this.
"It's in the club's hands and our mangers' hands. Hopefully things work out well."
It's no coincidence that when Kahu and Glenn last re-signed with the Broncos, they did it together, with each putting pen to paper on two-year deals in August of 2015.
Brisbane fans can expect the same this time around if the two choose to stay at the club, with Kahu not wanting to move away from his good friend.
"Alex has been massive for my career. He's always been there for me since day one," Kahu said.
"To see him play 200 games and be a part of it is something special. He's the best person I know away from footy.
"It's a pleasure to call him one of my teammates and a good friend.
"He's a leader and everyone in the team respects him. If he has something to say then everyone is going to listen.
"He's a professional that always trains hard. His positivity is infectious."
The two will represent different nations in the upcoming Representative Round after Glenn missed selection in New Zealand's 20-man squad.
Glenn will instead represent the Cook Islands for the first time since 2010 when they take on Papua New Guinea at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Saturday.
Kahu will don the black and white of New Zealand when the Kiwis take on Australia at GIO Stadium in Canberra on Friday night.
