Broncos release Caleb Timu

very different players, arrow is a toiler who will tackle and do work but he cant run lines or break a game open.
timu has ridiculous footwork and line running, and he can break a game wide open.
i would prefer timu over arrow but thats just my opinion.

i know this is probably a bit of topic but i thought you would know, i am really curious about how all our young guns are going just for the future, ive heard herman ese'ese is playing well but i was wondering about TPJ, salesi funaki francis molo and i'm especially curious about joe boyce from one person i ear he is a definite future representative player and gun and from other people i hear he is overrated and not as good as everyone thinks

no dramas mate, tpj is really really good but still has a lot of work to get to nrl standard. i really like eseese and he is very close. funaki is going through the motions which is what he did at the tigers (a real shame to be honest) i think molo is going only average and probably understandable after last years tragic events. boyce is a battler but hard to see a real future, he isnt a rep player. su'a is nrl standard.
for mine su'a, eseese are the 2 next best with tpj hot on the heels.
im also a fan of g fai, so keep an eye on him over the next 12 to 18 months.

I also am a Fai fan for farious feasons. I still think Arrow is aimed for the air though, he is actually absolutely amazing.

His workload at lock is amazing u are right there. He dosent need to have timus footwork there, just tackling machine and hard running which he has no doubt. Coached well I think Fai could be good but was a little disappointed in a few of his 20s games last year. I heard Ese'ese hadnt been playing as well as hoped but from what i have seen in the cup i disagree with his critics. Sua is an exciting skillful secondrower and will probably mature right on time looking at the roster. Especially now with Timu's loss. TPJ he does have some work to do but man when he gets it he will be a a massive asset but at prop. Boyce is well liked and works hard IMO.

thanks heaps mate havent been able to catch any of the 20s or ISC this year so that information is very handy for me, im also glad that the broncos future is in good hands with broncos having probably the best young up and coming forwards

If your reaction after 4 or 5 rounds is to leave because you haven't got a shot ( if that is the reason) then see ya later, don't want you at the club I support. Big Joe got told he wasn't going to play first grade in 2015, instead of sulking, he did everything asked of him, worked hard, played hard, signed a new deal, forced Bennett to change his mind with actions on the field and at training, was a regular in the side and played in the 2015 grand final. That's the sort of player and man I want wearing a Broncos jumper.

Confirmed by the club, we've released Caleb Timu.

Broncos Release Caleb Timu - Broncos

THE NRMA Insurance Broncos have agreed to release second rower Caleb Timu.

Timu, who came through the Broncos’ under 20s system before leaving to complete a two-year faith mission, has been playing in the Intrust Super Cup with affiliate club Souths Logan Magpies this season.

He played for the Broncos in this year's Auckland Nines but has not made an NRL debut.

The release from his contract is effective immediately.

Broncos’ chief executive Paul White said the 22-year-old leaves the club on good terms.

“Caleb is a fine young man and wish him every success in his future pursuits,” said White.

Opens up a path for another young forward to come through in the near future.

Bit of a shame as he looked to be making a good fist of things since his return.

Realistically though, we have quite a good range of upcoming young forwards and he was likely on a pretty basic wage here.

Can't really blame a young guy for chasing a better deal at this stage in his career. Best of luck to him.

I don't really understand the sudden Sunday sabbatical thing nor the whole Mormon mission thing. Footballers "retire" so young in life they have plenty of time to do the religious thing. Why waste your prime?

I don't understand why he signed with us in the first place. It's not like we have suddenly changed the days we play.

Bad luck for Timu - tore his ACL at training. Season gone.

Such a shame for the kid. It was obviously annoying that he left the Broncos but you couldn't wish an ACL on the kid.
