Can't think of too many forwards in the present side who would last 5 minutes in that squad.

Not one. Including our best player Haas.
He would get mauled by those men you listed.

As a side note, can we read that list again….wow. Now we have Riki, Baker and Co…. how the mighty have fallen

Do we really give a **** if Haas goes?
For real I mean? He is easily our best player (which tells you a lot already about this team) and is no doubt one of, if not the best prop in the game. Fact.

What we need to ask ourselves though is “How many Premierships will signing him on spine money bring?”

Remember all those premierships we won thanks to Lazzo or Webby? Generational talents, undoubtedly. Could we have won those without Alf, Walters, Locky etc? No.

Team and roster balance. When you’ve got no-hopers and influencers in your forward pack, Haas could be on 2 million and we still ain’t winning shit.

Ok so who are we going to sign with his money? It’s not like we can go out and sign Harry Grant or Cleary.

I think the best prop of all time is the least of our worries. Top clubs pay big money for props (sharks afb, storm uto + NAS, wahs jfh + Barnett (look at riff without jfh), rorters leniu), it’s an important position and Haas is the best available.

Depends on the money offered, which I’m assuming is low given the premeditated meltdowns in the media about his value on the cap. I’m fine with Arey staying, just please don’t sign cobbo and staggs for anything close to what they’re demanding.

When we were talking about extending him earlier in the year, he was playing very well. In fact, I think it was just after the Bulldogs game? Rumour at the time was we intended to offer him like 400k or something...the media went nuts.

Hooper: "In the fair dinkum department, the Broncos are taking the piss. That doesn't pass the pub test at all."
Bwaith: "There's no way the NRL can allow that can they? There'd have to be an investigation."
Rothfield: "Well, Madge is a **** but on the open market Reynolds would easily fetch 800K"

Long story short, the boys have been tanking and Reyno has been playing like ass on purpose to tank his price. Phew.
