I get it, we are so desperate for back rowers that peak DFifi is so tempting. But we just aren't going to get it, IMO. He just doesn't want to be that guy, and has fallen out with two coaches (Slater and Des) in the last 12 months.

Not to mention the contract backflipping circus here and then between Titans and the Roosters. He's not it. He has the talent, but I think he is about as likely to unlock his peak form as Anthony Milford.

Would loooooooove to be proven wrong though.

yeah he did ... us. talked about us being stacked with hookers, but said if we looked at getting someone like Reed Mahoney in maybe we'd look at moving a few players on, clearing up a bit of room.

He said that while he's having a bit of a talk to us, he might also be having a talk to the Cowboys (as they're losing Robson).

I don't see it happening, I'm pretty sure Mahoney actually hates us

I might be the only one but I’d take him.
 
I would love Mahoney.

He is a good hooker but most importantly he's a shit stirrer that gets under players skin.

Not the highest priority though given we need backrowers and another depth prop.
 
Yeah, I am definitely not keen on DFifita or Reed. I'd imagine DFifita is definitely not Madges type of player, just with the way he has gone about things in the past 12 months.

And rumour is we resigned Mozer (can't remember the source, think it was Badel maybe Dobbo, don't quote me though). So signing Reed would make zero sense. We will have Walters, BHunt and Mozer for hooker next year, granted we don't resign Paix. Already enough.

Reed Mahoney couldn't crack Brisbane's development squads as a kid, so he simply followed his old man's example in despising Queensland's flagship club.

Maybe D Fifita can become a Madge player when he is under Madge?
