I know that's an hilarious joke you like to roll out whenever someones uses the term but i think it's time to accept that 'taking a haircut' is a pretty broadly accepted term for financial loss.

Fifita isn't the right choice.

Talented as ****, doesn't have the work ethic to unlock all that talent consistently. He's not someone that's going to switch it on for 3-4 weeks in a row in a finals series.

We need someone with a good work ethic. We need to start looking at how Melbourne and Penrith recruit and start doing that. Because it works and it works very well.

If we could convince Hosking to come back, he would be a great addition. Even someone like Nicholson, surely the ESL has a hard nut backrower?

They don't have to be a backrower with silky skills. Just someone that runs hard and runs good lines.

I feel bad for Jock. I reckon he'd kill it in the ESL. He's probably on par with Brody Croft. A bit too good to be languishing in Cup, but maybe not quite enough to nail down a playmaking role in the NRL.

He's contracted for another two years. We shouldn't need him. Though we need Rogers even less.

We don’t need more pea heart, fat, lazy “talented” people wasting roster space. Undeniably a huge potential and talent (like Cobbo), but also a lazy, at times disinterested looking c*nt. The Broncos need workers who are willing to roll the sleeves up and get dirty.

The interesting thing about Madge is that he talked up Paix and Hetherington, and has gotten them putting in but he hasn’t actually re-signed either of them.

I wonder if it was a bit of a strategy to just get them working for it, while not actually improving their fates.

If you look at our off contract players, there’s actually the opportunity to reshape our squad quite a bit if Madge wants. A lot of cash can be freed up if you so choose.

Fletcher Baker, Selwyn Cobbo, Jack Gosiewski, Kobe Hetherington, Delouise Hoeter, Jaiyden Hunt, Corey Jensen, Israel Leota, Blake Mozer, Cory Paix, Adam Reynolds, Kotoni Staggs

Really, I’d be re-signing Mozer and maybe Reyno out of this bunch. The rest I’d be comparing with what is out there.

Two that i think would be realistic would be James Bachelor or James Mcdonnell
