I'd 100% be keeping him on for 500k. I think that's still a steal for 4 time grand finalist a 2 time premiership winning halfback even with his issues. He won't play every game but who knows who will be fit come finals time 2026.

I’d really consider moving shibasaki to second row. He could be elite there. His lateral movement is a bit poor at centre but his running game and one on one defence is very good. I think he would be an elite second rower. Have him and Piakura as our second row and Riki can move to the bench and do more of a middle role like Hetherington.

Then move mariner to center with staggs and have Anderson and karapani on the wings

It would be Hunt and Mam as halves. Paix and Mozer as hookers. Not that bad if it frees up some money to front load some contracts.

Keeps the players in the team honest imo. They have to keep performing. Winning a comp should just be the start for this lot. Standards have been set and we should be capable of improving on this year in a lot of ways.

This. His lateral movement was nightmarish at times last night, and Bellamy clearly had them going that way

I couldn't agree more he's been improving more and more over the year. Ricki has also has been one of the best 2nd row defenders in the NRL. How many tries or line breaks happened his side of the field last night?
 
If we lose Reyno and Hunt, Mozer would take the 9.

Part of the reason I don't think he's had a good run yet is because of "too many chefs". He's a playmaking 9 like Grant and if we have him Mam, Walsh, Hunt, Reyno all on the field someone's missing out/****in up.

Paix and Smoothy just give the ball to the other stars.
 
So does Haas go to R360 now?

He's got his premiership. Always felt like that was the thing holding him back.

It will be a BIG offer and tough for him to turn down.

The question is if he would uproot his young family for the extra money. I'm thinking particularly his brothers who he is guardian of given both his parent legal troubles. his two youngest brothers are school age, so it would be a big thing to disrupt their schooling.

I do genuinely think he loves this club and he certainly loves his family, so i think his decision will be whats best for them ... there's a good chance that's to turn down the massive R360 money to remain in Australia knowing he'll still make over $1 million a year

I'm also not against Shiba being turned into a back rower, he does have issues defensively which would be less likely to be exposed closer to the ruck, and Riki could be turned into a bench middle. Which would bring Anderson into the side and Riki to complete the bench.
