Woolfe was on SEN the other day and indicated the only way it could go is if he suffered the exact same injury again I.e. a knock that causes the same damage again.

It was an extremely unlucky hit that done it, so copping it again after healing would be very unlucky
 
If I was the broncos recruitment team I would definitely have a look at Simione Laiafi he looks like an obsolete gun and wouldn’t cost that much

Wouldn't be shocked if there was some truth to that. Anderson is probably a better cover as well in the sense that he can cover center, fullback and wing. Arthars could to an extent, but he is primarily a winger.

I like Jesse, but when I look at how our 2 wingers performed at the end of the last year, barring injury, he isn't getting a sniff.

I'm not sure it's fair to keep him. I don't agree that players have the right to break contracts but in this instance he has a case. Especially with the Broncos signing Grant Anderson. He's not a 4th line NRL winger.
 
I do think we should keep arthurs till a couple months into the season.

Its important we dont hold him back dramitcally because he is too good to be 4th string and if we keep him there we could get a bad reputation with players if arthurs gets the shits.

I just think 8-10 rounds gives us enough cover for the depth to come through (eg perhaps vernhoven becomes a viable option as 4th choice), and to make sure our top choices dont get complacent. Would also give him enough time to get games in at titans to get a better/new deal and not get frustrated.
 
I think with bad Fullback coverage Arthars is a must keep sadly for him. I do sympathise in that he has always played excellently for us but still we need depth still.

I know right. It was really awful watching. I'm hoping its just because he's been out injured for ages but it was a game he'd like everyone to forget...its just hard to because it was so bad.
 
The fact that Arthars is a 4th option in a first grade team is crazy. It shows the depth that we have in our club, but still, considering how good he is, I would understand if he wants to leave. We selfishly still need him during origin and injuries, but he also definitely deserves a spot even if it’s not in our club. I’ll never forget the Round 27 match against Melbourne, he was exceptional.

I think we can all assume he will not be here next year. But I would understand if he does ask again this year to leave elsewhere, he’s helped a lot within our club and he deserves a spot somewhere.
 
I'd say if we can't come to terms with him for next year and he is offered a good longer term deal to go to the Titans it makes sense to let him go early if we are happy with our depth.
