Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2026

Why the **** are we giving up a player when we don’t have to?

Honestly some of the calls this administration makes are baffling.

doesn't sound like we did.

The article said that we didn't want to lose him, we actually tabled a counter offer, but the Warriors deal was to good to turn down

Does that mean we get Barnett this season? seeing as we were already getting him next season so why did we give them Anderson? **** the wahs

Big loss Anderson. He’s a gun . F u wahs …..
Woah calm down lol. I would have preferred to keep Anderson but let's be real here. Anderson has been a depth player both at The Storm and here. When we signed him the overwhelming sentiment here and in general was "why?" and big concerns that he will be another player that looks good in the Storm system but sucks outside of that. All that has changed since then was a game and a half of football where he looked solid and now he is a gun?

He signed a two year deal which means the only way he could enter negotiations with Warriors is if we allowed it. We didn’t have to.

Where are they even going to play him? They've got Brick coming, Khan-Pereira, I assume DWZ is still staying. They also have big wraps on Leiataua. Yes they lose RTS but.. seems a lot to spend on a non-guaranteed starter.

If losing Anderson brings back Barnett, do it. Premium front rowers are scarce. Outside backs are far easier to replace, particularly a depth piece like Grant was.

Also, shout out to Shibs, get your bag my man. i'm sure the Melbourne system will get the best out of him again...

He signed a two-year deal so we've let him go a year early.

We were getting Barnett no matter what. Warriors literally said his release is not contingent on them getting a player in return and even if it was, they would never refuse to release him after saying it was for compassionate reasons that they agreed to the release in the first place.

Broncos didn't have to give up Anderson, he wanted to go, Broncos allowed him to speak to the Warriors, and Anderson/Warriors got a deal done. Broncos released him a year early to take it up.

The Barnett deal was done; they are not reliant on each other. Everyone wins.
