Would honestly rather have Bucks rider fill in on the wing than him, bloke is an absolute liability on the field and apparently quite a drop kick off.
Madge is building a serious, next man up, team culture here, lets not ruin it by bringing players that are toxic.

Sure, why not? They’ve got a lot of cap space for next year as their squad is mostly on peanuts. Ffs, they’ve nearly 10 teams in and around SHITney and yet these fcukheads leach onto Bronx to sell their news.
 
Just read that Hunts preference is to play on with us next year as halfback. How do we feel about that?

If he's the best player for the position, do it. If he's not, he won't be. I doubt Madge will guarantee him anything, it'll be up to him to make himself the best option for Coach to pick there. As it should be.

He would be, but then do we keep Billy? They would basically be filling the same role (except for experience). I feel sad for Billy, misses out on a GF due to injury after being one of the best all season, turning all the haters around.

I'd love for him to come back on fire and earn a contract, but you'd have to think re-signing Hunt might impact that.

We have a lot of Halves/Hookers next year still, we're trying to keep Duffy and have Pezzet coming to replace Reyno.

Said this a few times: Billy built up a decent reel last season. His stocks are unlikely to get higher than they are right now.

If he's prepared to leave Brisbane he is likely to get a better deal from another NRL club, maybe Perth or PNG. He doesn't have a lot more NRL contracts in him. He should grab the money while it's still on offer.

I doubt we can compete on money with all the 9/14's we have coming through. And unfortunately for him, with the 6 man bench, having a utility who can play 6, 7, 9, 14 isn't as critical.
 
Having a look I think there's still room to be keeping these guys, because we need numbers at the position.

The issue will be playing time and their intended role heading into next year.

- Pezet

Off contract
- Bhunt
- Duffy
- Billy
- Rogers

I'd say we still need at least 2 more signed here. Rogers probably the most at risk, because I think Billy can do what he's been doing the last 2 weeks.

- Bhunt
- Billy

Buk goes back to his role of break glass in case of emergency... which would mean we need at least one more hooker.

I would say there's easily room in the squad for Duffy, Bhunt and Billy to all be re-signed.

The question is whether they're happy to compete for a spot in the 17 each week.

I would say Ezra is the only one really nailed into a starting spot.

Pezet is very likely the 7 next year, but his defence has been garbage. Having Billy, Duffy and Bhunt all breathing down his neck is needed to make sure he's focussed.

Paix is definitely competing with all of Mozer, Bhunt and Billy for the 2 hooker spots in the 17 each week.

Buk the only one that drops out to keep developing in Qcup.
