Well media linking Haas to there would only be harming Souths now so there is no interest in that.

He probably will if he can’t get a union deal. The Sydney move is surely just him setting his family up before he heads to France/ England/ Japan/ png
In a few ways. Big money but may not be as good as it seems. I know people who lived and worked in PNG. Not a great lifestyle. It's a short term gig
I think a lot of NRL players will struggle to make it work. Those who do make it work will be well paid.

They’ll likely have to be bachelors or have a FIFO lifestyle. I don’t see many partners and kids sticking it out in a compound long-term. Add to that everyone will have to do a NZ or Perth-length flight at a minimum unless they live in NQ already.

The last 2 weeks have shown AGAIN, $1.5 million for ANY prop is ridiculous. Yes he's generational, but hes still a prop. Spend on the spine, have 1 or 2 alphas in the middle, some reliable workhorses throughout the team, and dynamics and defensively solid edges (backs and forwards). Sprinkle in a little bit of speed. Vlandys ball or not, this works.

I can see a lot of players becoming "homesick" after making their coin.
Yeah that's the interesting thing about Luai who has wife and kids. Maybe they will sort that out

Hasn't put a foot wrong so far. Deserves a proper shot. Will probably get it this year once the duct tape comes loose from Reyno.
I'm excited to see how he goes with Walsh for a full 80 next week.

After @1910 spoke about him and his woes “not ability” I started to watch. I genuinely think he will keep pezet outside. His long kicking game needs to be addressed by the lions, seems a shin kicker, They’ll sort him out.
Seems a goer. I like him a lot, no frills.

Duffy deserves a 2 yr extension at least. I think he is our best 7 moving into next year on current form. Really like how he speaks off-field also, says the right things and is not getting ahead of himself, just puts in the work and is now getting rewarded.
The 2027 halves will be interesting but I think Pezet and Anasta would quietly be a little worried. Will be interesting to see if we can lock Duffy down if another club enquires about Pezet. He has certainly been underwhelming so far this season.

His only slip up this year has been that short drop out and tripping last week.
