The NRMA Insurance Broncos have reached another historic milestone as the club officially hit 25,000 members.
This is the first time in the 24-year history of the Broncos that such a mark has been reached, and also sees the Broncos become the first team in the NRL to reach 25,000.
With only 10 games played, and the team playing some incredibly exciting football, the club expects the momentum to continue.
“Our fans are really starting to see the benefits of membership, and our flexible four-game option continues to grow every week, along with the tailor-made interstate memberships for fans in Sydney and Melbourne,” said chief executive Paul White.
“We’ve been working hard to ensure our fans see the benefits of membership, and the culture shift is now well and truly taking place. To go from just over 16,000 last year to 25,000 this year is astounding.”
The Broncos have now reached a global fan-base, with members pouring in from Africa, North America, Europe, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
“Membership ensures you play a part securing the future of your club, and the support we’re receiving from as far as Africa is testament to the dedication and loyalty shown by our supporters,” said White.
“It doesn’t matter if they can’t get to the games, they know they’re supporting us in the best way possible.
“Membership will remain a key focus for us, and we thank each and every one of our 25,000 members for the commitment they’ve shown to their team.” Source http://www.broncos.com.au/news-display/Broncos-Smash-NRL-Season-Membership-Record/55182
