Agreed, I watched the episode and definitely did not hear Kevvie say that Wayne asked him back and changed his mind

I heard him respond to questions about Wayne not wanting him, and that's it

He implied Wayne told him he changed his mind, and he may or may not have been told why.

He didn't deny he was asked back..he wouldn't have gone to the QRL based on a media beat up...

Could be a whole host of non-Bennett/Walters personal relationship issues that stalled it - money, scope of responsibilty, amount of time expected on the job.

Kevvie the "state of origin series winning coach" probably expects a lot more dough and less grunt work to do than assistant coach/head coach in training Kevvie did in 2015.

Who knows.
