Dude, there is only one poster on here who thinks the decisions of the board over the last 5 or so years haven't been one messed up decision after another. Almost every player on our roster likely has a PO and those that don't, are on over-priced contracts. Any surprise when you consider how many players are managed by the same bloke?

Add to that, have any other clubs announced a player being released from his contract when he actually hasn't been to go to another club on a try before you buy deal? This club's board is an absolute disgrace, including one legendary player with seemingly no management noir in D.Lockyer.

Paul White hands them out like he's Oprah apparently.

Hopefully whatever bullshit corporate gig he frauds his way into next also has player options in that industry too otherwise they'll find him out of negotiating 'skills' pretty damn fast.

I know you're a fellow Opacic fan as well mate. Glad to see him playing on too I take it? I know you mentioned he was considering retirement at one point this year?

Yep, he was thinking about giving it away, just think this year at the cowboys got him down a bit, especially after the dropped him because he wouldn't re-sign with them. He has a terrific attitude and I think that just wore him down.

He was practically over the line to sign with the Storm, but then for whatever reason Parramatta offered him double the money. With a new baby due in November it was too good an offer to refuse. Pity in some ways as I reckon the Storm would suit his style a lot better than the Eels.

Yeah from Queensland's perspective I'd love to have seen him in their system. Still, can't begrudge a guy like him getting a decent payday with a new family. I'm in the same boat at the moment and I know I'd probably have done the same thing too.

Melbourne with Olam in attack on one edge and Opacic in defence on the other would have been brilliant to see though.

I didn't say that. But hopefully there is some sort of centre merry go round where we end up with an opportunity to sign someone decent.

who have Souths signed?

and the people who Parra signed, i wouldn't be too fussed about missing (besides maybe Kevvie didn't want those guys). handy depth ... but that's about it

Papalii actually would have been a great signing seeing as we're losing Fifita and will be losing Glenn soon enough
