They still show the game although it's delayed. Also I record every Friday night game and watch it later as my parents and sisters are union fans.

Because I get to see both matches. And because my parents go to bed at 10 usually and because I stay up late I can have 4 hours of Rugby League to myself. If it was delayed I would only watch 1 as fox shows the game at 11.

I can't imagine 9 was planning on delaying it for an extended period of time. You would have still got your fix, it may have just been later to bed for you that night.

That is just a massive gee up. Channel 9 shouldn't get the NRL if they won't show live games.

I don't know why but I hate watching delayed games. It's worst when it's a broncos game, I have to keep stopping myself from going on-line to find out the result.

I never wait for the scores. I need to know straight away. I usually watch the delayed telecast after the game is finished.

I don't think so.

The idea is that 9 broadcasts the match so it can roll right into the premiere episode of The Footy Show.

I can understand why 9 won't telecast the match live into Queensland - 6:30pm on a weeknight is very inconvenient for a lot of households and they want to ensure everybody watches the game. It sucks, but at least I understand. It's the decision for Sunday that completely pisses me off.

It'll be Australia vs India for the tri-series finals series so this match against Sri Lanka on 2 March amounts to nothing in the scheme of the competition.
