Broncos vrs Panthers; Build up

where ever we end up coming if we do manage to make the finals will be a hard game. it will either be 6,7 or 8 so that means we will either be playing Titans/Storm (depending how they go) or the Bulldogs or Dragons ... all very tough matches

***SPOILER***(Tonights games)

Titans win and so do Bulldogs. That's two favorable results the Broncos way so far hope it keeps up.

Yeah, results just keep going our way. We can only blame ourselves now if we don't win on Sunday. Our destiny is in our hands.

If we end up making the finals I will be pretty confident we can beat any of those sides.

I think Bulldogs would be the most preferable opponent and the Dragons would be acceptable too. However, there is absolutely no way in the world we'd beat the Storm in Melbourne. Simply wont happen.

That is what I mean... we struggle there and the field does not suit our team. We don't know how to grubber there for shites.
I reckon Titans or Dogs are our best chance as well. However you don't want to come 7th against the dogs do you? Probably a good chance 7th and 8th will get knocked out easily this year.

I don't think any side has won the comp out of the top 4 since the Top 8 system was introduced.

Correct.

1999: Storm (3rd)
2000: Broncos (1st)
2001: Knights (3rd)
2002: Roosters (4th)
2003: Panthers (1st)
2004: Bulldogs (2nd)
2005: Tigers (4th)
2006: Broncos (3rd)
2007: Storm (1st)
2008: Manly (2nd)

Well, unless you count the pre-Super League ARL competitions.

1995: Bulldogs (6th)
1996: Manly (1st)

and we did it from 5th in 1993 IIRC

I wonder why I thought Tigers won it form 5th that year - those stats dont lie.

We could have been the first if we won last year! wow =)

So is Wallace playing or not today, would love to see Ben Hunt get a chance at #7 with Locky outside him

Our winning percentage this season with both Wallace and Lockyer playing is 70% and we also have not won a game with either of them missing. I'd love to see Hunt play but I am pretty sure they are going to risk Wallace.
