I think that performance from the Broncos is best described as "doing enough". Concerned with some of the injuries. Hopefully nothing serious.

Kudos Peter Wallace. Very solid game tonight.
+1 we never for a second looked like we were playing all out we just did as much as we needed to stay in front because we were never going to lose. Wallace also had his best game in a while particularly kicks and locky and thaiday probably had their worst games this year.

And wow winger finally gets a try and it's the machine himself gillett damn I heart Gillett hope he's a bronco for life.

Apart from the dropped ball i thought Locky was amazing again eusa_think

He had brilliant moments but his overall game was down i though, thaiday as well.

Its just the whole team wasn't really switched on so no surrise anyway.

Last 10 mins the guys absolutely turned off, you can tell they were very tired. Wallace had a good game tonight. Anderson is improving every game so that's good. I am really worried about Gillett and Locky, I think with those two gone and also Winter we might struggle. Not that Winter is that great, but he's much more experienced on the wing than anyone else and that's what we need going into finals. Plus Winter did improve a lot against Dragons. I can safely say without Locky and Gillett we won't get into grand final.

LOL don't stree dude, Locky would have played on if we weren't in front tonight. Gillett should be sweet it was only a knock to the leg. Locky will be sweet, he is a tough cookie.

The biggest problem I had with Sam was that stupid grubber. WTF was that s**t?

Good win, keeps us firmly planted in the top 8 ... and really that's all we could've hoped to get out of the game.

Cowboys always lift against us, and that wasn't any different tonight, so a win for us is excellent.

Overall, great performance by us. The last ten minutes of the game was very disappointing as we shouldn't have allowed the Cowboys to score those two tries. It would've been better if we kept them scoreless at 14-34 as an additional 20point differential is crucial in the next few rounds.

agreed Thaiday wasnt at his best, its as if hes got something on his mind other than footy.. he looks pissed off most of the time.. we def. fell off them last 10mins with soft as tries, cant afford to do that against better opposition..

i thought Scott Anderson was solid and so was Mcguire...Macca on the other hand... he got schooled by Payne

Anyone have any idea how bad Lockyers ribs are?

During the game they said it was rib cartilage damage, any idea how long that would keep him out for?

I remember 4 or so years ago he busted his ribs as well, if i'm not mistaken it was against the Bulldogs.

Not a hard marker at all Rock, I agree we were terrible for most of the game, just were better terrible than the Cows on the night.

But we seem to do that and no doubt having the younger experienced guys we struggle to play for the whole 80 each week and hopefully that will not cost us come finals.

For what it is worth I thought Wallace had a very solid game tonight, Gillett deserved his MoTM, Teo was great and so was Parker. We are certainly going to miss big Izzy next year.

Parra will be up for it next Friday, hopefully so are we, and shitted off that I am away camping and can't attend

I was very impressed with Anderson and McGuire off the bench, really bent and broke the line with their runs!!!

Maybe I'm a hard marker but I don't reckon that was a great peformance, it was a win and that's all we need right now but seriously, conceding 26 points is silly.

It's finals time soon. We need to play for the entire 80. End of story.

Agree entirely.

I was pretty disappointed with that. We looked really good in the opening 15 minutes, had complete dominance in all aspects of the game, and from there on, we struggled against a Cowboys outfit that was missing its main man. Guess it's part and parcel of having a young team.

Tamou is an absolute dog.

Scumbag. He's now overtaken Gallen as the biggest dirty scumbag in the game. He had nothing to do with it yet he hits McGuire with full force in the back of his head while he wasn't expecting it and when he's not even looking. That is just all levels of low, made me furious. Damn McGuire is a tough cookie though he played on like he didn't even feel it! What a champ.

Wasn't just Tamole though, their entire team were using dirty tactics like throwing punches while "tackling" and dirty pushes and shoves through almost every play the ball, scums. I feel sorry for Henry can't imagine what it's like trying to coach a team of undisciplined idiots like that.

EDIT: Apparently he went in the sheds post game and apologised, doesn't change anything but at least he apologised.

Our defence was hopeless but it's as if that's how it was planned, go out and do enough to win and not a bit more, that's all that is needed however a good point boost would have been very useful so the last two tries were definitely disappointing.

I think getting the 2 points and coming away virtually injury free is the most important thing about the next few weeks. We will start to ramp it up and be firing for the finals... Now for EEL SOUP.

But the champion pivot, who remains in doubt for Friday night's round 23 clash against the Eels, later moved to quash fears he could be in doubt for the club's finals charge.

"We'll wait and see how it pulls up but I think I'll be OK," Lockyer said.

"I got a bit of a knock there (ribs) ... it was a bit of precaution at the end (to come off)."

If Matt Gillett isn't rookie of the year at the Dally M's they should not bother having them again, so consistent and so strong all season.

+1. I can't think of anyone else besdies him anyway??? Maybe Fensom or someone from Canberra might be in for a shot, but Gillett has been awesome.
