Bulls 2014/2015

Qld batting at the 'Gabba.

2/75.

Burns 52*

Blues going with two spinners- George 12th man for Qld.

QLD 2/105 (Burns 63, Forrest 24)

Lunch.

I love attending the shield it's a hot day but I'm having a great time.

Qld 2/250

Burns 162*

Blues are toiling for no reward at all, it is very hot and once the first hour was done it is hard work.

Burns is just playing beautifully and straight. He was dropped early on 6.

Burns is great to watch when he gets getting, if he can do it with any sort of consistency, he'll be an Aussie player in no time. Consistency continues to be his problem.

Burns 183.

Highest score for Qld beating his 140* on debut.

Burns played superbly. He reminds me of Martin Love he was not belting the ball or anything he was just using his feet and guiding it. Great innings under some tough circumstances.

Qld 9/472 dec

Reardon 95.

Lyon 0/91 and O’Keefe 2/81

Don't know what else sok needs to do to prove he is at present our best spinner. He outperforms Lyon every game.

4/219.

He had a chance and I know it's one Test but he was awful and it was on a pitch where the Pakistani spinners did whatever they wanted.

He's been the best performed Shield spinner for three years but that didn't work too well in the Test.

Chris Hartley is tipped to take over from Haddin. I hope he gets it!

Im not saying I disagree and not am I saying SOK is a world beater but even in his one test, he outperformed Lyon in his two. Plus he adds batting. He isn't our long-term solution but he should be in there at least until one of Boyce/Zampa/Agar/Muirhead step up.

I can't believe the Blues went with both of them at the 'Gabba. Almost as if they didn't want to make a call.

2/215 from the spinners with O'Keefe, Lyon and Boyce.

Lyon normally gets great bounce from the 'Gabba but not yesterday. O'Keefe was great last week against SA.
