And someone gave me a dislike when I suggested the punishment wanted was too soft....Who was the clown that jinxed us the other week about injuries on here. Ban him immediately.![]()
There's nothing wrong with developing at QLD cup if you're a really young player. I wish the Broncos did more of that for their teenage rookies over the last few years.I hope someone from the Broncos reads these forums coz if they do please take this tip on board.
If ever you're chasing a young up and coming player's signature and you get him. Please ensure it's not announced until close to season's end. That way the player gets to continue his development in 1st grade as opposed to slumming it in ISC.
It wasn't me...Who was the clown that jinxed us the other week about injuries on here. Ban him immediately.![]()
I don’t think there is either, but if the player has already made the transition best to leave him there to develop further. There's nothing wrong with developing at QLD cup if you're a really young player. I wish the Broncos did more of that for their teenage rookies over the last few years.
I dunno, I feel like guys like Flegler and Dearden would probably be better now if they played more QLD Cup instead. Especially with the Broncos losing over and over again. Look at how they came into first grade vs how they are now.I don’t think there is either, but if the player has already made the transition best to leave him there to develop further.
I think Dearden was never ready for NRL and so did Kevvie. He’ll no doubt spend more time there once the Cows realise how underdone he is. But he didn’t want to wait.I dunno, I feel like guys like Flegler and Dearden would probably be better now if they played more QLD Cup instead. Especially with the Broncos losing over and over again. Nah let them walk I say. From a coaching perspective you would want people in the team that are invested. We have lost some talented individuals for sure, but it was clear they had their eyes elsewhere.hard luck Paddy, see you next year...
To be honest, hardly a critical position to lose a player mind.....imagine if it was Gamble...
But we have been pretty lucky with injuries compared to some, our issue revolves around how many sailors are jumping overboard to get away from a sinking ship....
I know this does not matter now but can we just establish this once and for all.....I think Dearden was never ready for NRL and so did Kevvie. He’ll no doubt spend more time there once the Cows realise how underdone he is. But he didn’t want to wait.
I get that they never offered him a contract. What I'm saying is that Kevvie thought he could well be the future of the club and said that publicly. I think he asked Tom to go back to ISC and get his game sorted. When the Cows made the offer Tom thought 'no point in hanging around'.I know this does not matter now but can we just establish this once and for all.....
The Broncos DID NOT offer Dearden a contract. I don't see why ppl keep putting it on Tom that he went to the Cows.
