The whole "Sydney is too saturated" is total BS. Sydney has a big population, massive league support, a crapload of major sponsorship available...problem is, many clubs are too stupid to know how to run a business.

That's partly true. Too many clubs are run by ex-footballers who wouldn't have the faintest idea of how to run a business. But I also don't think Sydney-based clubs have cottened on to how they can best engage the apathetic footy fans. Sydney obviously does have a lot of time for rugby league but often that doesn't show through.

If they want to keep as many clubs in Sydney as they have now, their best bet IMO, is to spend the money to upgrade all the suburban grounds to 25k boutique stadiums. Their crowds would be far superior to what they get at the bigger stadiums in the city. we see the fan support all the time when they play their. grounds like Brookvale and Leichardt and Win stadium, should all be modeled on a ground like Skilled Park at Robina
