Coaches using 'two referees' as a scapegoat and cop out

Lol sorry Gymp and Foordy.

Maybe if these guys (particularly Hasler) spent less time whinging about the two referees and more time figuring out how to play better with them, they wouldn't be in the position they are now.

I was kidding (I am the second last person to be talking about hijacking threads *ahem* Coxy *ahem*. I agree these guys like Hasler should be looking at new ways to get an edge rather than focusing on the one they had and can't utilise anymore.

I pretty much agree with the article. I do have one problem with the way the 2 ref thing is happening. I thought that it would be a good way to get new/young referees experience in first grade and to that end thought that the 'teams' would consist of one established or experienced referee and one newbie. And that the senior referee would remain the control referee for the entire game - ie would get final say on the major decisions (in fact I think I remember reading at one stage that only the control referee would have a whistle). I think the changing of roles throughout the game puts young/inexperienced referees in difficult situtions they are not equipped to handle and on most occassions so far they have made a major refereeing mistake.

But still don't think 2 referees is the reason these teams are not winning.
