...did anyone see it in the back of today's paper?
Basically along the lines that many of the Old Boys feel as though the club's been pushing them away during the recent few years where the club's aura has disappeared and the culture has seemed to fade. They feel like they have a lot to give, and aren't happy. I did wonder if that sort of thing had been happening, the entire club seems to have gone backwards in recent years. But, management have contacted the old network and have set up some things for the end-of-season break to get more involvement again.
Now...I'm critical that the club did (allegedly) push away past players. I would think that those guys are a massive part of the club's culture, and definitely the history, so should be as involved as they want to be. However, it's heartening to see that it could be turning around, and I pray it continues so that the club can once again become the powerhouse it once was - sooo frustrating to be a bottom-8 team. If that makes me a fairweather fan so be it; the club was built on success and that's what I, as a supporter, demand is the goal. Things have clearly not been right the last few years but to their credit the club are starting to turn it around. Especially with the Logan and All Blacks partnerships...it seems things are headed in the right direction.
Now just a couple of gamebreakers and we're back near the top where we should be...*cough*Milf*coughcough*Barba*cough* :thumbup1:
