Other than the obvious traits like game management & kicking, one thing I hope he brings from Melb is the way they use 2nd rowers to hit holes effectively. I haven't paid particular attention if Croft does this but it's something Melb have been particularly good at for a very long time.

They target the opposing half backs and this is where I hope Croft utilises Dave Fifita to a t. **** doing those unders runs, just fucking run over the opposing halfs off the Croft short ball...if the outside backs jam in to help their smaller halves, Staggs and his winger go in untouched.

That's not really up to Croft, it's all depends on our game plan. But with Fifita and possibly TPJ you'd hope so.

Pretty reasonable we didn't do that swap, we don't need anymore middle forwards and we do need depth at Hooker in case Turpin gets injured or suspended.
