Daniel Anderson appointed as Refs. Boss

Other changes include the retirement of Tony Archer who will become a refs. coach alongside Russell Smith.

Bernard Sutton will overlook the NYC refs.

What do you make of the move?

Shame about Archer. He's a good ref. Him and Hayne are alright.

Damn, Archer is a loss, he's one of the best in the game, shame he couldn't go for a few more years.

Never really cared much for Archer.

Seemed like a Harrigan wannabe instead of his own man and he lost control of a few games as a result. (Origin 3 09 the best example)

He wasn't the worst referee or anything but I don't see it as a loss.

I dunno about cutting all the refs with experience. Now we'll just have a bunch of rookie idiots running around each match...and Matt Cecchin, lord of the idiots.

They cut two useless refs, and promoted one decent ref. Hardly different.
