De Vere retires

Right decision Chief, but would have like you around Origin time, although as he is registered there would be nothing to stop that happening still anyways if we had to.

No doubt after his run in the forwards on Friday Chief will now take over Webcke's spot as forwards coach at the club.

LOL.

I guess what worries me is the Broncos had to bend over backwards to get him approved under the cap, and 25 minutes into his contract he quits...LOL.

Oh well.

Now De Vere's retirement.

It's all become clear. The Broncos read BHQ and take to heart anything mrslong says!!!!

:P

Or HodgoBerro has been let loose at Red Hill again

He made the right call, i don't think he should have come back in the first place.

thats what i was thinking, we could have possibly snagged eastwood back if we had some room left.

De Vere has shown he isn't as top quality a person as he seemed to be. The club tried so hard to get him in financially and then he just walks away.

again another reason he should have played qld cup 1st. surely he didnt need to be in the top 25 and still make his way in the squad.

You really are starting to show in my eyes you have no idea FCB, they really don't come much higher quality of a bloke than Devere. Give him some credit for actually putting his hand up and saying early no this isn't for me yet the young fellows have an opportunity.

As for Eastwood coming back, no chance he couldn't train under Dean Benton he hates hard work [icon_wink

Well its a bit rough on the club to stuff them around when he obviously wasn't all that committed in the first place. I still think of him is a brilliant professional and respect his ethic immensely but this little episode really disappoints me.

wasnt de vere originally at the broncos to help with the coaching or something? i read it somewhere last year...do you think he'll go back to that role?

well maybe you should have clarified that further in the first place rather than saying he is not a top quality person [icon_wink

Once again, I have no real problems with this. Mick would have been good back up around origin time (woot which I got tickets for yesterday) but he obviously realised that things might have got a bit quicker since he was playing in the NRL and perhaps he didn't really have the motivation. Good on him for making a relatively early call.
