Eels Vs. Broncos - Build Up Thread

THE WOW Brisbane Broncos will delay naming a team for this weekend’s match until late this afternoon after second rower Ben Te’o was charged with a dangerous tackle this morning.

Te’o was charged with a grade two dangerous throw from a tackle in the 58th minute of last night’s heavy loss to Cronulla.

The charge accrues 325 points or three weeks out. With an early guilty plea Te’o can drop a match and only serve two weeks suspension.

However, Broncos staff are currently analysing match footage to decide on their action.

Te’o’s second row partner Josh McGuire was also charged with a grade one high tackle but with an early guilty plea will only amass 84 points and will be free to play against the Eels at Parramatta Stadium on Sunday.

Coach Ivan Henjak will name the Broncos team for that match after decisions on the two charges are made once the team return from Sydney this afternoon.

Haha, I find this extremely amusing. I'm a Parra fan and the way you guys are feeling now is the way us Eels fans have felt for the 20+ years. So this weekend brings together 2 teams playing like crap but I guarantee you Bronco fans, the Eels will help the Broncos get back on track, it's just what we do:) We've helped plenty of teams come out of a slump to go onto bigger and better things.

Regardless of the final team after Origin, I'm just praying for solid defence. Back to basic good old fashion tackles. I'll be there and I hope we don't get a repeat of the last time we were there. Ah ok, I find roosters fans the worst up here. The amount of times I've been told by one of those animals to "suck their ****" at a Roosters game I couldn't tell you. I've never been to a parra game, so I can't compare.

The only player I don't mind from that team is Mateo and he's injured. If Parramatta put a big score on us, mad Monday might as well be rescheduled to 29/6/09.
