From what I'm hearing, INEOS want a puppet, someone they can control.

They won't have a say in players coming and going, they will be given players and told to work with that. They will just be there to coach the side, nothing more.

The side will be run by committee basically. I don't recall that working well.

A lot of clubs are run this way now - it makes it a more seamless process when a coach moves on. Whether it's successfully implemented though, will depend on the people running the system.

Liverpool have their transfer committee and while they listen to the manager and do sign players he wants, they dont sign all of them. For example, Klopp famously wanted Julian Brandt instead of Mo Salah, but he got overruled. Not many teams get the balance right.
