Tbh, i dont think Liverpool have been that outstanding, they have just been ultra consistent in just getting results. They have been machine like with their results.

Yeah I'd probably agree, but it's the perfect recipe for winning a league. They never beat themselves.
Salah is having a proper season too. Incredible.
Klopp has to look at this and think, why did I not stay 1 more season
(Not to take anything off Slot, but Klopp deserves alot of credit for this team).

The only player even trying to cross has been Dorgu. I watched back parts of the Everton game again, it was worse than I even remembered. These players are legitimately awful.
If the club cannot find a way to bring in 5+ system suitable players in the summer, it's curtains. On top of that they need to remove several issues.
Remains to be seen if either are possible/probable.

United need to get rid of the deadwood and huge earners before they can rebuild i reckon, which isnt going to be easy. Its When you factor in as well there will more than likely be no European football, its not as attractive a move as it used to be. Could be looking at another couple of seasons of pain for United fans.
Seems so weird that such a powerhouse club is in such a poor state financially. They are turning into the English Barcelona but with way less success on the field. They need Liverpool like recruitment. Every signing needs to be good value and not overpriced.

Yep, and if the signings aren't/can't be there, the first team needs to be filled from within, from the youth setup while the deadweight is cleared.
If they do well, you can sell for pure profit, or keep them, fully integrated and built up playing the system.
No surprise this has already been high on the agenda pinching youth stars from Arsenal.
As dross as we are to watch, I would rather short term pain if the club sticks to a plan. I just don't trust Glazers/Ineos at all.

Ineos are already talking about raising the ticket prices on top of all the job cuts. They are lucky really they can rely on support from outside the area to keep paying overinflated ticket prices. Not many clubs apart from Liverpool have the ability to get fans in such numbers from all over the country.
I see the press keep linking them with Cunha, but there is no way i can see how they can afford him even for his insanely low release clause. Selling all the good youth team prospects may well be the only way to raise some decent funds for a rebuild. And thats if they even impress enough to get decent money.

We should be able to make signings in the summer.
We have money coming in for Sancho. There's a very high probability that Greenwood will be sold in the summer with PSG reportedly making a formal offer of €75 million which we will receive half of. Barcelona and Bayern also reportedly interested in him so that could increase.
From my understanding we have a sell-on clause for Alvarro and good probability he'll be bought in the summer.
Villa have a £40 million buy option for Rashford and if he keeps performing well and gets better, I don't see any reason why they wouldn't activate that. The issue with that one is Rashford did have his sights set on Barcelona.
We'll have to be smart with the signings we make prioritizing forward positions first.

Greenwood is only 50% of any profit they make. So thats about £17.75 million.

United have to be so careful with PSR with all the poor transfers and manager payoffs and buyouts i cant see where they are going to get huge money for the kind of rebuild they need.
It could work in their favour if they cant sign the superstar players or expensive younger players who look out of their depth like Yoro, Hojlund, Zirkee, overated has beens like Casimero or the just rank poor footballers like Onana and Mount.
Copy the Brighton or Liverpool model. Good players who perform consistently over superstar players with big egos.

Those sales listed above, if achieved are good sure.
But you need to balance that with the ones we'll be taking heavy losses on like Antony and Mount, balancing that with dept repayments and the like.
The deals on players like Sancho will be tricky because it'll depend how much we actually still owe Dortmund. If you get 15m for him but we still owe 15m. That money is gone, and sure you save his wages, but the transfer fee is gone.
Let's say some sucker takes Antony for 15m, that's a huge loss on the books and a debt we will still be paying Ajax for years.
The way around this is continually loaning players out, and just taking some savings on wages until you can sell for a value that means you don't take a hit on PSR. For players like Mount, Onana and Antony, that may never happen until they leave as free agents.
My point is, the club needs to be very clever and careful with business dealings.

To some degree, yes..
But Klopp also stitched us up with Nunez. He also played Gakpo striker and Gravenberch/Szobo as 8's.
The health of the squad has a lot to do with Klopp but the overall performances are entirely on Slot. He's simplified things and turned us into this efficient machine.
I'm fairly confident we would be nowhere near this position now if Klopp was in charge. His method was to run players into the ground with heavy metal football
