FOOTBALL English Premier League 25/26 Discussion

26-year-old midfielder that's played UCL, not going to pretend I've seen anything of him really, but price isn't outrageous with how transfers are these days, especially when we're involved. Position we desperately needed too. We'll need bodies with actually having to play more than 40 games next season.

Should be Fernandes next. Though the price West Ham want is a bit crazy.

Just hopefully the club doesn't think that Ederson, Fernandes and Baleba/Hackney is going to be enough.

We need one of Anderson, Tonali or Tchouameni to replace Casemiro. One of those is an absolute must.

He's good. Has an enormous engine and reads the game really well. He's combative and will enjoy the physicality of the PL. Think Douglas Luiz and that's the sort of profile you've got.

It's a good price for a player his age just the usual question marks of how he adapts from Italy etc.

All the noise around Tonali and Bruno G has gone very quiet.

Newcastle have no need to sell either now that Gordon is gone, they are clear as far as FFP goes and after Isak last summer, you'd expect the project is ready to spend some money again. Convincing those guys to stick around will be tough but imperative to get back to UCL spots.

I expect Tchouameni to heat up after the world cup. Jose will want to figure out where his head is at but they also don't have an abundance of DMs. I somewhat expect they might try hold on to him unless Rodri becomes available - all their current links are to 8's like Enzo and Mac Allister.

Anderson as we all know is going to City.

Feel like it'll be Enzo that goes to Madrid.

looks like Konate is off there too.

If Chelsea lower their asking price (currently $100mil) then maybe there's a deal to be had there but we know they are stubborn pr*cks.

Madrid presidential elections are going on right now and they don't have the finances to go throwing 100s of millions at Galacticos like they have in the past. A big portion of their wage budget has already gone to Dumfries and Konate.

Alonso will be keen to keep Enzo and I sort of expect suitors to be priced out. Who knows - PSG and Barca in particular are going to be very active this window.

I think we'll be putting a 50mil price tag on Macca and seeing who will take him. I can't see a world where he signs a contract extension or where Iraola wants to keep him.

I assume City will start getting heavily linked to Enzo as soon as Maresca is confirmed too, as from memory Enzo was pretty close to Maresca.

A lot will depend on Rodri leaving of course, but they already weren't using Reijnders much at the end of the season and will already be adding Anderson, with only definite out being Silva.

Ederson was in talks with Athletico but then they found out Joao Gomes was available for the same fee and switched their attention to him.

This Madrid presidential election shit is wild 😂

Well so far he’s not living up to his promise, Haaland staying put.

Only chance we have of getting Tchouameni imo is if he Rodri signs so hopefully he does, but does he still have to pay the members fees? The promise was for both Haaland and Rodri, not one or the other… I imagine he’ll use that as a loophole to get out of paying.

Riquelme was never winning the election.

Mourinho is going to be determined to keep Tchouameni. I'd say its safe to bet he's off the market.

Really hoping United sign Sam Johnstone from us. He's ****ing awful.

That has to be a link/signing just because he was an academy player. Does UEFA still have those rules/regulations around academy products?

Onana returning, hopefully not for long, Vitek I assume returning (Who is better than all our other backups) and Bayindir. We really do not currently need Sam Johnstone.

Fabrizio reporting West Ham want 85m for Fernandes. Please walk the **** away United.

Its coming from a very reputable source who's got all his last 3 moves spot on.. it could be the home grown/ academy thing. He's still ****ing awful though!

Trippier and bringing back Raul Jimenez is a good start for us next season. We badly need leaders and experience and these two will bring that. Now we need some younger talent now.
