I think he would be superb for Liverpool. Even if his wages are 20 million a year for a couple of years i dont think you are getting a player of his class for that money. Its not like he doesnt play plenty of games either, i can only think of one season in recent times where he hasnt played over 30 games a year.

The kind of signing United make is Casimero. £70 million for a good half a season then goes into decline quickly. And if United win the Europa league, he gets a wage increase putting him on a whopping £500,000 a week. Thats a shockingly bad deal.

As long as United take Cunha off our hands we will be a happy bunch of supporters.

Pretty much what I was going to say.

If we sign him as a first teamer for a flat 400k a week I would agree with @Super Freak and co. I don't think he would be on those wages nor that squad status. I would think (hope) we would say, Kevin you'll still feature in 40 odd games this year but you'll be a rotation option in all comps.

He doesn't want to uproot his family, has said he isn't interested in playing in Saudi, already lives in the area and has kids in the same school as VVD - why not? Dude still has plenty to offer, just not as an all action, 90mins a week twice a week player anymore. We've had success in the past with the likes of Milner and even going back to Gary Mac getting in an aging model pro.

I'd love to see PSG win purely for the irony of Mbappe going to Madrid to finally win the CL, only for his old team to win it as the door is still swinging behind him. Just goes to show after all the years of Neymar, Messi and Mbappe, all they needed was a cohesive 11 man team.

I don't mind luis enrique - with what he's had to go through i couldn't begrudge him any success.
