Good on Kane. He kinda reminds me of Sheringham a lot - obviously Kane is a way better player but they have a lot of career similarities in standing out at Spurs and being the butt of jokes in failing to win anything. Transferring to a big club and still being initially ridiculed (from memory Sheringham lost everything the first year at United as well, but then 98/99 happened). Maybe Kane will go on a run now and end up with something more than Bundesliga medals.

Onto the epl, disappointed to not get the win, definitely felt like we did enough. No complaints on the disallowed goal. Marking for their first goal was a bit rubbish, not sure what Konate/VVD were doing there. The booing for Trent is somewhat understandable, I think if he had of been honest and said sell me to Real Madrid please, the fans would be more accepting than foxing your future and leaving for free. It's absolutely no one's business mind, but I guess for the locals in particular one of them own is rejecting them for free, that will sting.

Maybe the fans are just doing him a proper service in preparing him for the Bernabeu. Those ***** booed Ronaldo ffs.

As for United, like I said a few pages back - better hope Ruben has a plan for the summer. Not even we were this bad in our crappy periods. I wonder if this is the result of him saying all his players were the shittest in history earlier in the season? Like ETH wasn't great but I doubt he'd have you in 16th.

Kulusevski ruled out of the final.

That’s a blow for Spurs with yet another of their creative players being ruled out.

It’s all shaping up to be United’s final and that’s what worries me.

I guess it doesn’t help the last time United won the Europa League, guess who was in goal for Ajax? Onana…

Still no update on the extent of Yoro’s injury and it doesn’t look like de Ligt will be fit.

Great deal, and done early. Actual big club doing business like they should.

Not a good deal and not a smart club.

Means it's certain to happen 😂

He is a quality player tbf and his release fee is pretty low for somebody of his ability. He should suit how Amorim wants to play.

Most Wolves fans cant wait to see the back of him though even though he pretty much carried us through the first half of the season.

Yeah not doubting the ability at all, and have no doubt he'd be an improvement on what is at the club, and as you said would suit the system.

My thing is he can be a bit of a hothead, so if shit isn't going his way, team keeps losing, he isn't scoring or creating, I can see disaster.

Reported price for that level of proven PL talent isn't my issue at all, it's whether the club can afford it when there's so many other signings needed as well. Signing the 'star' hasn't worked for a while, would just like to try something different.

I've kinda lost all interest even before next week at this point. People thinking that winning is a golden ticket to greener pasteures are so wrong. Case in point being they'll sign Cunha for that fee regardless of having UCL or not.

I cant see them getting big money for many players because of the wages and the fees United will want for failures. I see they reckon they want Betis to pay 50 million euros for Anthony. No way in hell that will happen. Their record fee is still about 30 million Euros they paid for Denilson in the late 90's and they have money issues as it is. Unless they can get a premier league club to take a punt on him i cant see them getting anywhere near that fee.

Not to mention last I looked it sounded like Chelsea were more likely to pay the fee than take Sancho.

Antony doing well at Betis is a good result. It's not a break even on a shit deal result, but him doing well should mean there is at least some level of interest. The only way he stays at Betis is another loan spell. If you can't sell for an amount that works, for FFP sake a new loan is the only option due to how much is still owed on him.

There's just too much that NEEDS to happen, and happen well and I have no trust in the club and people in charge of those dealings. Backdooring it into UCL doesn't change that.

Wages are the big problem with a lot of these guys. Its a massive obstacle to them moving to other clubs, especially if they arent premier league clubs because they simply wont get the cash the get at United.

Which will be even worse if we DO get UCL because they'll be due a wage bump if they stay. 🙃
