FOOTBALL English Premier League 25/26 Discussion

Kelleher off to Brentford. 18mill total incl bonuses.

Thanks for your service Kweevin. Hope you smash it against everyone but us.

Wirtz getting closer. I suspect we'll include Elliot in the deal. Would be a good move for him too.

Thank God Cunha is gone now. Great player but he won't be missed.

150 million for Wirtz. That's wild.

130 million was already a crazy price.

Air Nouri to Citeh looks nailed on now. Unlike that grub Cunha, we will sad to lose Rayan. Hes a wonderful talent but we knew this was probably the year he left.

Player i think a lot of people are sleeping on in Germany is Angelo Stiller. Available for 50 million euros. I think for that price he's a bargain.

Not sure if being heavily linked to Real Madrid counts as being 'slept on'. 🤓

I think English clubs are. A player of his quality available at the price he is i'm amazed there hasnt been more Premier league interest in him. Even Madrid dont seem keen to pay the 50 million for him.

Considering 1/3rd of that price is add-ons like UCL wins, Balon Dor etc it's not really that much for a world class player. If he hits those targets it will be well worth the investment.

The fee is about 100mil but that'll be split over a few instalments and have to remember this is Euros - once converted it'll still be less than Chelsea paid for Enzo/Caicedo.

For the record, it's certainly not how I'd be spending our transfer kitty if I was in charge but it's exciting to get a generational talent like Wirtz, no matter the cost.

Mbuemo to United is interesting.

On one hand I don't really understand the player wanting the move given the state of United. However, on the other hand it makes absolute sense to go to a 'big' club that can offer him a regular starting role - I don't think any of the other sides could have given him that assurance.

No doubt it'll also come with a nice bump to his wages. He's probably gone as far as is possible with Brentford and this is a great opportunity to raise his profile and become a big name.

Intrigued to see the fee and how the deal is structured. United spending 100mil+ on two attackers is very on brand.

Its fantastic money in Saudi, but its only fantastic money of you stay for 3 years to avoid paying tax on your earnings. If you arent 100% sure you and your family can handle living there, then you have to turn it down.

I can get on board with Mbuemo (price and wage pending), the Cunha deal I still hate. Even moreso now with Bruno absolutely staying.

Cunha and Mbuemo would be the starting 10's, Amad at RM/RWB which is fine. It's where Bruno then fits best for the team.

Also, it's already a bag spent on attackers and we still need a striker.
