That being a penalty is embarrassing, Wirtz just flops to the ground lol.

Some of the penalty decisions being given lately are mind-boggling.

If that's a penalty though, we should see one every corner.

What aboutism can be used on almost every subjective call.

Bastoni held his shirt for about 2-3 seconds, it prevented him moving in the direction of the ball. It's a foul anywhere else on the field. It is a foul in the box. Irrespective of Wirtz's actions, those are the facts.

For me it's not a penalty but it's nothing to be aggrieved about, there were far worse decisions in that game.

Refereeing consistency is a massive issue atm in all the top competitions. We literally had a goal disallowed for a GK's view being obstructed against City, then a goal given against us in the exact same situation a week later. The interpretation of the laws literally change week to week and it's annoying.

These days I just laugh when it happens, there's no point wasting energy being disgruntled by it (although when it happens in favour of a rival I understand the grievance).

I have no problem with the penalty being given if for no other reason than to punish the sheer stupidity of Bastoni. Why even take the risk of pulling his shirt like that when there was no danger at all. Just stupid. Also, nice to see Inter whinge about it when their players were flopping over at the thought of contact.

If Alonso is sacked by RM, wonder if Liverpool will pick up the phone

Thought Wolves were going to get at least a point from the Emirates then..

Sad to see that result for Wolves, they've been on a hiding to nothing this season. Relegation always felt somewhat inevitable for them as they kept losing big players, I admittedly was a season early on my prediction for that one.

We had a good win v Brighton, wasn't much to report on other than Ekitike back to form and looking really good, a proper number 9 performance from him. Wirtz was good again, Curtis Jones was my motm. Annoying to have Szobo and Gomez both pick up injuries.

The media storm around Salah should now quieten down as he goes to AFCON. I do think that was his last game for the club so nice to see the fans serenading him at the end.

Still a long way to go for this manager to convince me it's turning around but 2pts off 4th place given our last few months is encouraging. Couple additions in January and we should be able to get ourselves clear of this logjam between 4th-9th.

Gotta find that second goal. Bournemouth giving us every chance to score goals but still only 1-0.

All that good work shown in the first half thrown away by 1 instance of lack of concentration and composure again. Story of this team

All those good chances wasted and now it's 1-1.

Shocker. Sometimes you just gotta laugh.

Probably about 15 minutes ago Bournemouth were 0 shots, 0 shots on target.

Now they're 5/3. Just letting them back into the contest.
