FOOTBALL English Premier League 25/26 Discussion

At least the suffering is over! The only positive now is no VAR next season!

He is their best finisher, but I don't think he gets in the positions that Havertz and Jesus do, and thats a big problem for him.

Yeah but Havertz has been terrible at converting chances into goals, he had a one-on-on with the keeper that he stuffed and then the header over the bar.

Gyokeres has been best their goal scorer, he should have come on much sooner.

If United had a competent Head of Football instead of Wilcox, they would be looking at this Newcastle situation and swooping in trying to get some good deals done for players, mainly Tonali.

They will want to sell so they can rebuild the squad and they will want to get deals done before the summer window.

Problem is, Wilcox isn't competent.

Surely Tonali goes to a top tier club that can win a league/UCL immediately. That's the level of club I expect him to go to. Or Seria A Club.

For someone like him, not excusing our football department, but I just don't think there is a good deal to be had. Not within the prem. The price requested would be outrageous.

I see Tchouameni now being linked. Just as we finally see the end of one overpaid DM from Madrid they're looking to replace him instantly with another 😂 Now that would be on brand for United.

Seems to pick up injuries yearly, wages would be high, and if RM wants him gone we shouldn't be keen. So he probably just rocketed to our #1 target

I doubt Tonali is going anywhere for under 90 million. Newcastle will hold strong like they did with Isak. Stiller will be available from Stuttgart for around the 50 million mark and there really isnt a great deal between him and Tonali as players. I still personally think Stiller is a slightly better footballer. Way better value around than trying to buy from other premier league clubs.

Yeah we're not being overtaken by Chelsea...

I think it's pretty safe to say Brentford and Bournemouth aren't going to win 5 straight either.

UCL definitely locked up.

crazy that leicester got relegated to div 2.

They are in so much trouble financially. Having players like Winks on £90k a week in the championship, and i think another 6 or 7 on between £50k and £80k just isn't sustainable, especially when those players were overpaid and they are underperforming.

Camavinga is the injury prone one.

Tchouameni is the one everyone wants if he is on the market. Would absolutely love him at Liverpool and would be scary as all hell if he went to United.

Can be a destroyer, can be a deep lying playmaker, can play a bit of box to box, tall, powerful, fast, and has been used a lot at CB due to their injury woes. He's the complete package and would thrive in the PL.

For all the reasons above I'd be surprised if Madrid sell him.

Cama is injury prone for sure, but Tchouameni has a decent list too.

The length of injury isn't that bad I guess.

Cama for comparison.

I guess that result against Burnley would give Arsenal hope that another team can nab a point or three against City.

A better team than Burnley would have turned a couple of those chances into goals.

dunno man, city don't usually blow it when they smell blood.

That is true.

They do seem a little more vulnerable at the back than in previous title-winning years, though. If it wasn't for Havertz being so bad at turning chances into goals, I think Arsenal would have come away from that City game with a point at the very least. They had the their chances to win that game but couldn't convert them.

I thought Citeh played well within themselves, which isnt surprising considering they are coming off the biggest game of the season. Its about results now, not performances and Citeh know how to get the job done.
